Rob’s clinical and educational work focuses on the intersection of artistic performance, human movement, and lived experiences. Originally from Taipei, Taiwan, Rob received his Doctorate in Physical Therapy, undergraduate degree in Communication Theory, and a minor in Dance Performance from Chapman University in California, USA.

As a performing arts physical therapist, Rob supports movement artists across the lifespan, from youth and pre-professional students to collegiate and professional dancers working in concert, commercial, and theme park settings. His clinical approach is grounded in partnership, understanding for the unique demands of the dance profession, and an acknowledgement of the cultural and social forces that shape the personal and communal dance health experience.

In his educational work, Rob is passionate about redefining how dancers engage with health and wellness. He designs contextual, movement-centered learning experiences rooted in physical literacy principles, strength and conditioning science, and introduces frameworks for long term learning and application. His teaching reflects the belief that movement is an experience, and experiences inform the mover. Most recently, Rob designed and taught a course on longevity as part of Chapman University's dance curriculum.

Rob has presented at national and international dance medicine and education conferences such as PAMA, IADMS, and DANCE/USA, and has been invited to guest lecture at collegiate dance programs across the United States and abroad, including The Juilliard School, NYU Tisch, and Trinity Laban. He also collaborates with a wide range of dance organizations—from pre-professional ballet institutions to competitive studios—supporting both dancers and the educators.

Through rehabilitative care and guided education, Rob hopes to instill a curiosity in dancers to help them understand their physical capacity, take ownership of their recovery, and sustain their training with intention.

Outside of dance, Rob is husband to Krystal, father to Rhys, and dog dad to Hachi.
